In the 1950s, sugar ruled supreme; every planter distilled their own rum. In 1953, Jaime Omario Perdomo Sr., starting from nothing, opened the Travellers bar in Belize City, where he crafted his own blends. Success was immediate. He soon established his distillery, now the oldest in the country.
In 2022, Travellers partnered with Jacco Kroon, founder of Navy Island, to launch Belizean Blue, a rum inspired by the majestic Blue Morpho butterfly.
