Created in France in 2018, Bartolomeo draws its inspiration from the history of the great explorers who set out to discover the route to India, a strategic road for the spice trade. In 1487, the Portuguese Bartolomeu Dias was the first to sail beyond the Cape of Good Hope, at the tip of South Africa, opening the sea route to the Indian city of Goa for Vasco da Gama.
The botanical recipe for Bartolomeo Gin pays tribute to this spirit of discovery, combining African and Asian ingredients with juniper berries for a fresh taste with intense citrus flavors.
