The city of Kilcock in Leinster was founded in the 7th century around a monastery which brewed its own beer. It thrived, having up to 3 breweries, 2 malt houses and 2 distilleries in the 1800s. To honour this heritage, McGargles established its first independent brewery there. The quality of its beers and a differentiating communication around a legendary family, make the brand a unique range in Ireland.
